Bear has had an outstanding show career including Best in Show and Runner-up in Show wins all breeds, he accumated a total of well over 1000 challenge points.

He has multi Best in Groups and Runner-up in Group to his credit. He was runner-up to Best Exhibit in the WA Golden Retriever Club Champ show in 1999, Judge Mr. J. Clark (Scotland). He was Best of Breed at the Perth Royal Show 1999, judge Ms. M. Persson (Sweden). GRC of WA Best Veteran, 5th place Queensland National and 3rd Place Victoria National (out of 35 dogs) are a few of his highlights of his career.

Bear was bred by Sandra and Michael Patterson, Buffalo Kennels in NSW. It was a long wait of 7 years to get him and it was well worth the wait. Bear made up for all the heartbreak of loosing Kayla in a car accident in April 95 and Bear arrived in December 1995. This lovely 9 week puppy brought with him lots of love and he helped me get back on track after that terrible accident . Bear is now retired, he is 11yrs of age and still moves so beautifully with reach and drive, I just love watching him move around the paddocks with such ease. He spends his days with his kennel mate Emily. He is truly my Special Boy.
